Nina Simone "High Priestess of Soul" (1966)

Found this one over at Hip Hop is Read blogspot, and figured since we're on a theme, might as well keep it going. Haven't listened to it yet, but I'm sure it's nice. Leave some comments, let us all know what you think. Back soon. Peace!

Nina Simone "It Is Finished" (1974)

Yo! This is one of my wife's favourite artist, and she's dope. Hard-core soulfull voice, hard-core classic Jazz vocal. And "Hotter Than A Mosquitos Tweeter" is one of the dopest songs I've ever heard. This is a CD Rip, and the packaging is a Vinyl replica from Germany, and well worth the money I spent on it. Back soon. Peace!

Inspired by the Motion Picture...

Still being on the fence as to the quality, and whether or not that this is a good album or not, I think I have to agree with the status quo thus far that this is the "Biggest Commercial Hip-Hop Album of the Year." Decide for yourself. Back soon. Peace.

Lefties Soul Connection "Hutspot" (2006)

Found this one over at sopedrada blogspot, and I have to tell you, it's pretty good. I think the guitar funked rendition of DJ Shadow's "Organ Donor" is worth the grab. Pick it up, y'all. And if you happen to find anything else by these guys, drop me a line. Peace!

Alain Goraguer "La Planete Sauvage OST" (1973)

Had this one for a while, but recently saw the movie... Holy shit! It's a fuckin' trip. I highly recommend that you see it at least once in your lifetime. The animation is ill for it's time, and origin. My bandmate said it best when we said it's a stoner movie. Well, this is a mixture of different sources that I've compiled the soundtrack from. Have fun. Laters.

Grant Green "Visions" (1971)

Sorry I haven't really posted anything new, I've been hella busy with work, family, and my own personal music, that I'm steady struggling to get new content up for you guys... Thank God for the havens that I tend to hang out around throughout the week. Anyways, enough rambling... This is a mellow gem from Grant Green. Not supergood, but well worth a listen... Contains "We've Only Just Begun" off the Dusty Fingers Comp. Much respect to Lost In Time
for this. Peace!

Handsome Boy Modeling School "White People Instrumentals" (2004)

Probably more of the same, as far as I'm concerned, but it does contain has some sick-ass samples... And the title of the album makes me smile every time. Give it a listen, I'm sure you're bound to find something you'll like. Back soon. Peace!

Handsome Boy Modeling School "So... How's Your Girl?" (1999)

Well, here's some "Dan the Automater" for that ass... If it wasn't for the contributions featuring Del, Sadat X, Grand Puba, and Shadow, this album wouldn't be more then a pop meets underground mish-mash album... Hey, strictly my opinion. But get it. Contains "Holy Calamity."

Quincy Jones "Smackwater Jack" (1971)

First off, special thanks to this little "underground" community that I try to frequent as often as possible. I found this, and the next "Q" album at "My Favourite Sound©," who I happened to find thru "ORGY IN RHYTHM." Anyways, said to be Q's "funkiest album ever," it's definately worth a listen. But get it quick, the man over at My Favourite Sound© has a strict download policy. Pace!

Quincy Jones "Walking In Space" (1969)

Dusty Groove America says it's "One of the greatest Quincy Jones albums of all time!" And they might be right, in terms of Jazz instrumentations. Nowhere near as funky as his previous Soundtrack outings, and personally, nowhere near as hot as "Gula Matari" (my personal favourite), but definately essential "Q" listening, and an awesome precursor to joints like "Smackwater Jack." Check it! It'll be worth your while.
