Air "The Virgin Suicides Live Bootleg" (20??)

Okay, now this one's been lost, and found, then re-lost again, and found, and eq'd, and re-eq'd a million times over. This particular bootleg is the reason why I like "Air" and this is the only copy that I can seem to find anywhere. So please, please, please you have any knowledge of a better, more legit quality copy available anywhere, don't be shy, and let me know. Until then, feast on the breaks, bass-lines, and nice keys & synth work that can only be presented by "Air" in their live incarnation. Enjoy. Back soon. Peace!!!

Air "The Virgin Suicides OST" (2000)

Forgot how great this album was... Heavily inspired Adrian Younge in the completion of his "Venice Dawn" album, posted right below. "Air" is great for there usage of vintage synths, as well as compostion, but tends to stray away from there overall funky style on most outings, but not here. For more by these guys check out Mood Swings blog who has been so kind as to post Air's complete discography. Props to him for making me remember how dope this album was. Thanks. Back soon. Peace.

AMON DÜÜL II "Paradieswarts Duul" (1971)

Here's another one from these guys. Not as heavy as the last post. More along the lines of Pink Floyd meets Jefferson Airplane ithout the sick drums or bass-lines. You guys should love it. Let me know if anybody out there has anything hot from these guys. Thanks. Peace.

Amon Düül II "Phallus Dei" (1969)

Found myself surfing the net today, and getting completely lost in the proccess, but I did happen to come across this nice little gem. I think it'll appeal to all you beat-beads out there. For all you hardcore hip-hoppers, not so much, but this band has been featured on the infamous "Dusty Fingers" compilation. Enjoy some variety. Back soon. Peace.

Alan Tew "Drama Suite, Part 2" (1975)

Stole this too from someone somewhere on-line, but since I thought to drop "The Hanged Man" OST, and "Drama Suite Part 1", what the hell, figured you deserved this too. Enjoy this. It may take you some time to weed through the insane amount of tracks which are included here as well. Good stuff. Cheers. Back soon.

Alan Tew "Drama Suite, Part 1" (1975)

Stole this from someone somewhere on-line, but since I thought to drop "The Hanged Man" OST, figured I should give you this, which is more from the television show of the same name. Enjoy this. It may take you some time to weed through the insane amount of tracks which are included.

Alan Tew "The Hanged Man" (1975)

Nice funky 70s instrumentals, composed by Alan Tew, and performed by the group Bullet. Ripped from a "Re-issue" that I own, but it's still hot, none-the-less. Enjoy it... Some tunes will probably strike you as familar thanks to collections like "Dusty Fingers" and so forth. Back soon. Peace!

Buster Williams "Pinnacle" (1975)

Okay, if you love the Mwandishi stuff, and you love stuff like "Headhunters" from Herbie & the troupe, then you're sure to love this one. It's along the lines of those mentioned above, as well as the more experimental Henderson stuff that we've all grown so fond of lately. Check it out... "Noble Ego" is by far the best track on the album. Players Include: Buster Williams Bass; Earl Turbinton soprano sax, bass clarinet; Sonny Fortune soprano sax, flute & alto flute; Woody Shaw trumpet; Onaje Allan Gumbs acoustic piano, electric piano, moog synthesizer & arp; Billy Hart drums; Guilherme Franco percussion; Suzanne Klewan & Marcus vocals. Really a big album... Back soon. Pace!

Herbie Hancock "The Prisioner" (1969)

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Recorded right before "Fat Albert Rotunda," and Herbie's Mwandishi outings, here is yet another artist attempting to break the bonds that convential Jazz playing & compositions had created during this time period. Each song is a lush arrangement, backed by Herbie's superior line-up, as well as playing skills; not to mention it has my man Joe on Tenor Sax, as well as "Headhunters" band mate Buster Williams on bass... Feature the likes of: Herbie Hancock (acoustic & electric pianos); Joe Henderson (tenor saxophone, alto flute); Johnny Coles (flugelhorn); Garnett Brown (trombone); Tony Studd, Jack Jeffers (bass trombone); Jerome Richardson (flute, bass clarinet); Hubert Laws (flute); Romeo Penque (bass clarinet); Buster Williams (bass); Albert "Tootie" Heath (drums).

Joe Henderson "The Kicker" (1967)

Yet another from the end of Joe's conventional Jazz period, and I say that lightly. Recorded basically around the same time as "Tetragon," picking up where that album left us, and you can't be sad about it. Another great album in terms of great musicianship. Enjoy it guys. Back soon. Peace... Personnel Include: Joe Henderson (tenor saxophone); Mike Lawrence (trumpet); Grachan Moncur III (trombone); Kenny Barron (piano); Ron Carter (bass); Louis Hayes (drums).

Joe Henderson "Tetragon" (1967)

Great album. Shows you where Joe was in terms of conventional jazz, along with a slight hint of where he may be heading, but nowhere near as "out-there" as albums like "Power to the People" & "Canyon Lady." Great Jazz album though... Posted for all you requesting that the Milestone Box Set be re-upped; I didn't forget about you. Personnel Include: Joe Henderson (tenor saxophone), Don Friedman & Kenny Barron (piano), Ron Carter (bass), Jack DeJohnette & Louis Hayes (drums).

Taken from two different recording sessions.
Back soon. Peace!

The Inner Thumb "Soul Ecstacy" OST (19??)

"Great soundtrack to the long lost 70's Blaxploitation movie Soul Ecstasy. With a plot containing such volatile content as The Black Panthers collaborating with the Red Chinese, young girls kidnapped and sold to Hong Kong bordellos, Soul Ecstasy didn't get much of a theatrical run before it was closed down by 'The Man'. Sadly, the only existing print of the movie was destroyed in a fire, but luckily for us the master tapes of the soundtrack were tracked down and have been released here for the very first time." - Courtesy of MovieGrooves.com

Ennio Morricone "Citta Violenta" (1970)

"A lost treasure from the legendary Ennio Morricone -- a soundtrack written for a crime film starring Charlie Bronson & Telly Savalas, and handled with all the spare subtlety of his best work! Bruno Nicolai's directing the orchestra on this one -- and isolated instruments include electric harpsichord and woodwinds that drift along nicely in the tunes -- mixed with some harder arrangements on a few of the album's more driving cuts." - courtesy of Dusty Groove America.

You guys're sure to love this...
See, I love the internet, because you can always seem to find amazing shit, even without looking. I don't know too much about this guy, and I stumbled onto this site, as well as the album strictly by mistake, but it's definately worth a look & listen. Check it out. A must have for Floyd fans, as well as Beat-Heads alike. Back soon. Pace!

Diggin' On Blue - Mixed by Pete Rock (1999)

Got this from my man over at the Strictly Beats blogs spot, but because of all the troubles he's been having with folks reporting his links, I decided to "up it" myself, and not use his links. Much respect though; I know he dropped some cash to get this one from across the ocean. Anyways, classic & amazing tunes that the PR chose, but unfortuneately, he fucks it up with his whack-ass improved MC presence and lame ass call-ins by fellow producers and such. Over all, a must have stictly for tunes alone. Back soon. Peace!!!

An amazing LP, featuring the likes of Eric Dolphy, Pharoah Sanders, Archie Shepp, Freddie Hubbard & many more. Borrowed this LP from a friend of mine, and these are the only tacks I managed to swipe from it. If anyone has any of the remaining tracks, let me know. It would be much appreciated. Thanks. Enjoy.
