Figured I've compiled enough versions of this song from various sources through-out blog-land, that I could go ahead and post this. Enjoy, it's just about an hour of music, and one of my favourite, and most creative of Beatles songs out there. Enjoy. Peace!

O.V. Wright "Memphis Unlimited" (1973)

Huge thanks to Funk my Soul, and Nikos1109, formally of Lost In Tyme for bringing this one to light for us all. And special thanks to the RZA & the Wu-Tang, who without, I prolly never would've even known who O.V. Wright was. And if you listen close, you can almost here the very familiar "Al Green" production values; AJ knows what I'm talking about... Still looking into why they sound so similar, so if anyone can give any pointers, or albums for that matter, that would be hot. Anyways. Enjoy. Peace!

It's Been A Long Time Coming...

But the shit has finally happened. The film is finally, OFFICIALLY finished, and has recieved an invitation to The Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. And if that wasn't enough, Wax Poetics, a magazine we all know & love, has agreed to pick up an exclusive issuing of the soundtrack. But wait, there's more... Adrian Younge, a good friend of mine, has assembled a band, which includes myself, and we are presently orginizing an operatic-like rendition of the soundtrack to be performed live in Utah the weekend of the screening... Those of you long time frequenters are somewhat familiar with this film, and I've been posting some rare demos from the soundtrack to the movie (of which I thought would never be released) ever since it was un-officially titled "Superbad." Unfortunately, the demos are no longer available, but I promise you, as soon as the soundtrack, and DVD drop, they'll be up... So check out www.blackdynamite.com, and find out what all the hype is about... Stay up, and I'll be back soon. Peace!

Starkiller "Donovan III" (2008)

Based on the classic "break" by folk artist Donovan, and in turn based on the Jazz/Funk cover by the world famous "Connie Price & the Keystones," STARKILLER has ventured out once again into to unknown, only to return with the sexy, elctro, rock/funk that only they can supply. Recorded with two new members, and over the course of a two week period in Sept. of '08, I'm sure this joint will inspire some, and please most. Download it, share it, and play this MUH-FUCKER as much as humanly possible... And don't worry, you ain't seen nothing yet!!!

Special Thanks to All The Breaks Contributors on Solesides. You Know Who you Are!!!!
The Last in the Series Of Shadow Breaks. Rather than promote this as part 3 i decided to cut it short to just around 20mins as i coudn't be bothered anymore so not really a 3rd part but just as enjoyable as the previous efferts, i am running out of breaks and didnt want to spoil it with obvious popular samples that everyone has heard a million times over unless edited in a way to fit the mood, i done this real quik so there is alot fried chicken pops and destortion in places, but hope you all enjoy - Courtesy of Fraykerbreaks Blogspot

DJ Shadow "Midnight In A Perfect World" 12" (1996)

That's right! I was finally able to score a reasonably priced copy of the "out of print" LP single of "Midnight In A Perfect World." I always loved these versions of this song because of the subtle little differences, for instance: the little dialogue in the Radio Version, and the calming Sax solo in the Extended... And now, I'm proud to present to you:

A.1 Midnight In A Perfect World (Radio Vision)
A.2 Midnight In A Perfect World (Gab Mix)
B.1 Midnight In A Perfect World (Extended Vision)
B.2 Mutual Slump (Album Version)

Cortex "Volume 2" (1977)

The brother OUFAR KHAN knows what's going down. Thanks to him for this one. Haven't heard it yet, but I will. Hope you dig it. Peace! Here's what he had to say: "I hope I don't scoop anybody on this one, but since there was this buzz about the first (and wonderful) Cortex LP and since I was already thinking of posting their second... well here it is! It really is another absolute killer album of dope jazz/funk tracks, full of breakbeats and swirling rhodes lines that you can't get enough of! Unlike their first album it's all instrumental (save for a few chants on "Poxa") and lean even more heavily on the groove side, in a funky blaxpoitation kind of way. Too many good tracks to mention— Aaah, for once we can be proud of some french music!"

Enjoy!
