"Dusty Fingers Vol. 14" (2006)

Figured I put this one up, just in case you guys didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I was referring to the group known as "Cos." This is a very good compilation. One of their best to date I'd have to say. Enjoy. I'll be back in a few. Peace!

Cos "Postaeolian Train Robbery" (1972)

Now, the only reason I would have ever even heard of these guys is because of man's best friend, the Strictly Breaks "Dusty Fingers" compilation. It's the opening track from Vol 14, as is so hot, that you can't help but dismiss it because you can't help but think you'll ever hear anything by this obscure artist again. Well, huge thanks to the lad over at Rare and Vintage for unearthing this amazing gem. Enjoy. You'll never hear anything like this again.

Joe Henderson w/ Wynton Kelly Trio "Four!" (1968)

Found this one at a new spot to me called "The Devils Jazz Pit." A good album, but I can't do anything with the files but listen. It's a FLAC file, and I can't seem to export them out to any other format. If someone out there has this, drop me a line, or a link. Thanks. Laters.

Uh-oh! Got some more Henderson for y'all. Released in the 90's as a double CD with "Black Is The Color," this is another top outing for all youHenderson lovers out there. Torn from the Milestone box set, contains some more live renditions from the Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa, as well as a killer line-up: Henderson (tenor saxophone); Pete Yellen (alto saxophone, flute, bass clarinet); Woody Shaw (trumpet); Curtis Fuller (trombone); George Cables (electric piano); Stanley Clarke, Ron McClure (bass); Lenny White (drums); Tony Waters (congas). Enjoy. Laters.

Yo! This one is courtesy of my boy A. M. Breakups, check him out at the 'Space for some sic-ass beats & so much more... This is Marc Moulin's solo release recorded in '74, and is what Dusty Grooves classifies as "a crucial bit of keyboard funk." Enjoy this cherry on top. Back soon. Peace!

Guess what my good folks? Vinyl Rip of this album over at Swami Hermitus's spot. Show him some love...

Okay, last one that I'm doing in this "Ironman" series that I inadvetantly started. Picked this up at RapBoard.Ru, and has a few good tracks on it, plus some sick Library Breaks samples (Guns N Razors & Outta Town Shit), but basically the leftovers from "Fishscale." Be back to basics after this one. Promise. Peace!

Tony Starks "Ironman" (1996)

Figured since we're on that tip... I remember how dope this album was when it came, and like I said, he's got to be the hardest working member of the Wu-Tang Clan there is... The anticipation of the album was so big, I remember jackin' a 36 x 48" poster from a promo person off the streets of San Francisco, and high-tailing it to the train station. Enjoy. Peace!

Gangstarr "Hard to Earn" (1994)

An all instrumental album packed with loads of phat breaks, samples, and Jazz influences, this is a rather strong outing for the dynamic duo of Guru & Premo; I think things just seemed to fall apart after this. Includes one of their best tracks: "Mass Appeal." Found this one over at Sweet Black Music blogspot; pay him a visit to recieve the "password" to access this file. Enjoy these instrumentals. Back soon. Peace!

That alone entitles a listen. Found this at Hefiorels eclectic music show pay him a visit. Back soon. Pace!

"Dusty Fingers Vol. 1" (1997)

Okay, now this is the one that started it all for me... I decided to put this one up because this album features the likes of David Axelrod, Dorothy Ashby, Oliver Sain, and folks we've mentioned most recently like Amon Duul & Les Baxter. I know alot of you out there already own this one, but then again, a lot of you don't. So if you got it, enjoy it, if you don't, get it... Back soon. Peace.

Amon Düül II "Carnival in Babylon" (1972)

Here's another one that I happened to find by these "Kraut" rockers from Germany. Don't hate me, but I'm sure you'll love it. I did... "On this 1972 release the melodies are still present, although the songs are shorter and generally range from 3-5 minutes in length, with a single track at 7'19" and the closing track Hawknose Harlequin is the longest at 9'45" (and is simply incredible). Stylistically, this is very psychedelic stuff with subtle shades of prog here and there - a perfect combination in my book." - Amazon.com
