Los Angeles Negros "Y Volvere"(19??)

Okay, here's some more "momma-funk" for y'all... Straight from my mom's crate, and once again, it ain't half bad. After looking into the history of the album, it was very popular for it's time, and has been sampled by the Beatnuts, all the way to the likes of the Beastie Boys. So, enjoy it. Get into it. Let's ROCK & ROLL. Peace!

Oh yeah! Download 'em. Then join 'em with THIS.

DJ Shadow "What I Do In My Bedroom Vol. 2" (19??)

Is this for real!?! I don't know. Sounds very old, and to me, it does very much sound like a fledgling producer gettin' busy on the wheels of still with a few of the homies freestyling over it. But, I could be wrong. Enjoy it though. Peace!

Fraykerbreaks DJ Shadow

Something else I came across... I believe this gentleman has made it his life pursuit to track down Shadow's breaks and samples. This is an outstanding mix, and I don't think Shadow himself could've done a better job. Split into two files, here & here, you should be able to expand them using "Split&Concat." If anyone else has anything better, or recommend a "rar" splitter, please don't be shy. Tracks include:

01 = Baraka – Sower of Seeds {Midnight In A Perfect World}
02 = Dennis Olivieri – I Cry In The Morning {6 days}
03 = (George Marsh = Interview on Percussion) {Building Steam}
04 = Alan Hawkshaw – Countdown
05 = Roy Wood – Get on Down Home
06 = Ron Geesin – Slow Song

Leroy Vinnegar "The Kid" (1975)

In my constant mission to locate DJ Shadow's breaks & samples, I came across this very nice peace of music. It's a very good album, very classic jazz instrumentation, very atmospheric, and very progressive in nature. It's a great album. Look for the Shadow sample in there. Peace!

Vinyl 4 Giants Presents...

Yeah, I thought it was about time to drop this... I've acquired 30+ renditions of this classic Burt Bacharach song. Probably the most well known version is that of my man Isaac hayes... Included are the first 10, I think... This one is dedicated to Milk Crate Breaks, who inspired while putting this together. Enjoy! More to come. Peace!

Charles Bernstien "Gator OST" (197?)

Well, honestly, only known to me because of two reasons, the famous Handsome Boy Modeling school sample (also featured on Dusty Fingers Vol. 10), and the famous DJ Shadow sample off of "Endtroducing." Not my rip. Canibalized for some poor chap on line. But I'm more the happy to share. Enjoy. See you soon. Peace!

Kill Bill: Extensive Cut

Well, I'm finally back! Now, I know it's been done before, but I decided I'd take a stab at it: here's a pretty comprehensive guide to the songs featured in Kill Bill Parts 1 & 2. Actually, it's more extensive coverage of Part 1, but fuck it, I was way too tired to finish off Part 2! I figured this is a good way to start off my posts for the month. Anyways, it's divided into 3 parts, starting here, here, and here. Wanted to make the links a little more obvious, since I seemed to have been throwing a lot of my frequenters off. Back real soon. Promise. Peace!
