HipHopIsRead has never put out bullshit, and that's 100%. Grab this, RIGHT NOW!!! This sample set is liver then the entire "Wu-Massacre" album, and the Raoul Dev Burman sample for "Meth vs. Chef 2" is enough validation on the reason why is belongs in you sample collection... "Well... this certainly wasn't the Meth, Ghost & Rae album we were waiting for. As I said on Twitter, it sucks that Def Jam spent more money on the sick graphic design than on making sure the music held up to expectations. Wu-Massacre definitely had some solid tracks, but fell flat as an LP/album. Oh well... This sample set is undoubtedly incomplete but it's got plenty of great tunes you may have never heard before, namely the title theme for the Bollywood film Shalimar. Turn it up!!" courtesy of HipHopIsRead.
"HipHopIsRead" Sample Set #153: Wu-Massacre

ARKANE * PROFOUND * JAY-Z "The 'Black' Dynamite Album" (2010)
Both the film "Black Dynamite," as well as the Original Score by Adrian Younge & the Incedental Music from the soundtrack have inspired so many since their release on Wax Poetics, and here is yet another attempt at bringing true hip-hop back to it's core: heavy drums & samples. Incorporating a mixture of both original lyrics by ProFound, selected sections from Jay-Z's 2003 release "The Black Album," and selected cuts from both Black Dynamite Soundtracks, Arkane's production, mixing, and arranging has made it hard to distinguish whether or not this is how these songs were originally intended to sound. While splitting production duties with Profound (on tracks 1, 4 & 6), Arkane's looping of Adrian Younge's cuts, in a dark, freakish manner, has succeeded in making songs that were enjoyed years ago, that much more enjoyable today, accompanied by a better lyrical flow by Profound then Jay-Z (sorry, but Jay-Z can't flow for shit in my book!! Hate me. It's your choice). Download the 6 track mix-tape here, courtesy of ProFound himself. Below are a few samples of the tracks included. Back soon. Peace!!
ProFound ft. Jay-Z - Moment of Treachery (Prod. by Arkane Beats)
ProFound ft. Jay-Z - Allurgator Shoes(Prod. by ProFound Beatz)

Another HUMUNGOUS drop by my man Ivan over @ HIPHOPISREAD. I had been personally bugging the shit outta him on TWITTER to drop this, and lucky for all of us out here in musicland, he did. Personally the sample track for "New-Wu" makes the comp well worth it... Coming in at a wopping 135MBs, you will definately not be disappointed with the amount of music which is contained here. Cheers HIPHOPISREAD... Here's a track listing:
Some More "BLACK DYNAMITE" Music Stuff...

Chaundon (who I have never heard of unfortunately) is offering a "Black Dynamite" mix-tape on his website for $10 smackers!! I've never paid for a mix-tape before, and most hip-hoppers know that the artist usually floods computer-land with mix-tapes to build hype for an up coming album drop. But there is an alternative: Chaundon is offering "BLACK DYNAMITE\'S REVENGE" for free download. All you have to do is enter your email addy and recieve spam for the rest of your life... I'm just kidding. Check 'em out. Let me know what's-what. I know I will...

DJ Shadow "What I Do In My Bedroom Vol. 2" (19??)

Is this for real!?! I don't know. Sounds very old, and to me, it does very much sound like a fledgling producer gettin' busy on the wheels of still with a few of the homies freestyling over it. But, I could be wrong. Enjoy it though. Peace!
The D.O.C. "No One Can Do It Better" (1989)
The DJ Big Texas post by Hip Hop Is Read has brought back some memories of one of my all time favourite Rap albums, and probably one of the best rap albums ever made. This album honestly shows Dr. Dre's skill as a producer (way before is discovered "G-Funk" and fucked up rap for all of us). Get this one, and take a trip back when rap was rap, and not crap. Back soon. Peace!
Ghostface Killah "We Celebrate" Promo (2007)
If this is any preview to what the album is going to sound like, then holy shit, we're in for one hell of an outing by my man Ghost, who's still doing what is neccessary to make a hype ass hip-hop record. Thanks again to The Movement forum, as well as Hip Hop Is Read blogpost for putting us on to this one. Nab it! And if anyone has anymore, don't be shy. Peace!
Inspired by the Motion Picture...
Still being on the fence as to the quality, and whether or not that this is a good album or not, I think I have to agree with the status quo thus far that this is the "Biggest Commercial Hip-Hop Album of the Year." Decide for yourself. Back soon. Peace.
Handsome Boy Modeling School "White People Instrumentals" (2004)
Probably more of the same, as far as I'm concerned, but it does contain has some sick-ass samples... And the title of the album makes me smile every time. Give it a listen, I'm sure you're bound to find something you'll like. Back soon. Peace!
Handsome Boy Modeling School "So... How's Your Girl?" (1999)
Well, here's some "Dan the Automater" for that ass... If it wasn't for the contributions featuring Del, Sadat X, Grand Puba, and Shadow, this album wouldn't be more then a pop meets underground mish-mash album... Hey, strictly my opinion. But get it. Contains "Holy Calamity."
Ghostface Killah "Ironman Instrumentals" (1996)
Yo! Much respect to "Taka" for bringing this one to light for us all. As a lot of you frequenters know, I've been looking for this one for quite some time. Enjoy this, it's as hot as the album itself. I know theres some tracks missing, but fuck it! And if you got, don't hesitate to share it. Peace, y'all. Back soon...
Camel Bobsled Race (DJ Shadow vs. DJ Q-Bert)
Well, Mr. Henry's post reminded me of this other little nugget that came out as the flip-side of Shadow's "Pre-Emptive Strike." It's a good mix, and has some off the hook arrangements by our man DJ Q-Bert. Get it, if you don't got it or haven't heard it. And if you have it, go home and listen to yours. Reminisce of the days when Shadow was on top... Enjoy. Peace!
D-Styles vs. DJ Shadow: Shadow Megamix
In my continued search to complete my DJ Shadow discography, I came across this nice little nugget at my new favourite hang-out Henry\'s House of Sound. It seems that this bonus cd was only made available for the folks that purchased the "Private Press" on-line through a particular website. Reminds me of the limited 2nd CD that came with the 1st pressing of "Pre-Emptive Strike." Anyways, enjoy guys. Back soon. Peace!
Masta Ace Incorporated "Slaughterhouse" (1993)
Damn! I love this album... The 4th album from Masta Ace, and quiet frankly, I don't ever remeber hearing anything else from this guy. One of my favourite Hip-Hop/Rap albums from the early 90's, and has mad sentimental value for me. Most of the tracks're great, and the skits (which is an atempt to dis-credit gangsta-rap, which was the most popular during this period) are freakin' hilariously. Check it. Back soon. Peace!
Tony Starks "More Fish" (2007)
Okay, last one that I'm doing in this "Ironman" series that I inadvetantly started. Picked this up at RapBoard.Ru, and has a few good tracks on it, plus some sick Library Breaks samples (Guns N Razors & Outta Town Shit), but basically the leftovers from "Fishscale." Be back to basics after this one. Promise. Peace!
Tony Starks "Bulletproof Wallets" (2001)
This is for you Cosmo. Courtesy of wutang-rap.blogspot, check 'em out, has some good stuff over there for all you Wu-fans. Enjoy. Gonna be getting back to our standard "Breaks" here pretty soon. Peace!
And if anyone has "Pretty Toney," "Bullet Proof Wallets," or even "Ironman" samples compilation, it would be greatly appreciated.
Tony Starks "Ironman" (1996)
Figured since we're on that tip... I remember how dope this album was when it came, and like I said, he's got to be the hardest working member of the Wu-Tang Clan there is... The anticipation of the album was so big, I remember jackin' a 36 x 48" poster from a promo person off the streets of San Francisco, and high-tailing it to the train station. Enjoy. Peace!
Tony Starks "Fishscale Samples" (2006)
Another on courtesy of the gents over at The Movement On-line, and if you haven't joined yet, you might wanna think about doing so. Anyways, a great album, that completely cover the vast array of samples that make-up the "Fish Scale" album. Props to whoever compiled it. Back soon. Peace! Part 1 & 2.
